Questions to Ask a Web Developer
Other Web companies have technically-savvy programmers.
But ask them this...
How experienced are their programmers at
designing Web Pages that are user-friendly?
axsWave Software, Inc.'s Team Leader of Development has 4
Software Interface Patent Applications and over 20 IBM User
Interface publications. Even our other Development Team
members all hold degrees in Computer Science with a minor in
Technical Writing.
A few companies have professional writers and artists on
staff. Be sure you ask those companies:
How many years experience do your writers
and artists have delivering information and graphics
on-line?
Do your writers and designers understand the
technical limitations of the Web and Multimedia?
Better yet, ask them if their writers and
designers understand how users interact with information and
graphics on-line versus print?
There's a lot of difference between print media and the
Web. The Web is Interactive Multimedia, that's its power,
and it takes special training to tap that power. Our writing
and design team has a combined 15 years of writing and
developing on-line documentation and information products.
